The teenage years are a very unique time in one's development. You or your child are undergoing very significant physical and emotional changes during this time. The providers at Shelby Pediatrics understand that this is a complex milestone along their development path. As a result, our teenage check-up visits are structured a little differently, in that the teenager is now is given some private discussion time with their provider. This separation gives the patient privacy and the feeling of independence that allows them to ask any questions they may have pertinent to their overall well-being. Don't worry parents, at the end of the appointment there will be time designated to address your questions as well.
